Metallica is a heavy metal band formed in 1981 in Los Angeles, California. Founded by drummer Lars Ulrich when he put an ad in the newspaper Recycle, of Los Angeles. The original training was in Ulrich of Metallica on drums, James Hetfield as vocalist and guitarist, Dave Mustaine and also as a guitarist Ron McGovney the bottom. The latter two were later replaced the band, by Kirk Hammett and Cliff Burton, respectively. In September 1986, the band's bus lost control and flipped, resulting in the death of Burton. In less than two months Jason Newsted came to the place from Burton. Newsted left the band in 2001 and was replaced by Robert Trujillo in 2003. The first of Metallica songs included rapid movements, and instrumental musicality that became aggressive as one of the "Big Four" of thrash metal with Slayer, Megadeth to anthrax. Some critics say the launch of Master of Puppets in 1986 is one of the most influential albums and "heavy". The band has achieved commercial success with an album entitled to Metallica in 1991. Some critics and fans believed that the band's musical style had changed with the release of Load in 1996, as Metallica had a large membership by the fans. In 2000, Metallica was one of the many bands that filed a legal action against Napster for sharing materials protected by copyright freely without the consent of them. The resolution was reached, and Napster has become a paid service use. Metallica has released nine studio albums, two live albums, two extended plays, a library, twenty-two video clips, forty-four singles and finished the job on its ninth studio album, Death Magnetic in 2008. The band has become one of the most influential and successful in commercial terms. With 90 million records sold worldwide, including 57 million in the United States, the band won over seven Grammy Awards, and saw five albums in the first place on Billboard 200. The album of 1991, Metallica, has sold more than 15 million copies, making it the 25th biggest selling album in the United States. Soon talk of an album by one of the controversies with Napster and the current members of the band and who has already joined.
